You know what Sunday’s are made for? They’re made for Brunch.
A long drawn out breakfast, sprinkled with a cocktail haze, chatter and the warm sense of having no where to be!
I met the girls for a long overdue catch up and brunch at Tredwells.
I’d heard good things & you know, the name Marcus Wareing plastered on it kind of means good food this way!
Lizzie & I got there first sat down and were quickly attended to with water out of a copper vessel. I don’t know what else you’d call it really.
It made me feel very snazzy to be waited on so attentively. We sipped and allowed our eyes to wander the menu as we waited for the rest of the crew to filter in.
We soon were all together giggling, swapping stories & terribly excited about Justines stint to the land down under!
I was surprised how long drinks took to come to the table, but food shortly followed so I got distracted and inhaled.
Bad Bonnie, note to self, eat slower!
Eggs Benny done to absolute perfection! Creamy, zingy, perfectly seasoned and an egg yolk that was the most amazing consistency, a slight wobble, but doesn’t pour off the fork – oh guys, you’re spoiling me!
I was also eyeing up the avocado and chorizo jam on sourdough. A cool twist on the most over instagrammed food on this fine planet.
More of a sweet tooth? Fear not!
They have caramelised banana eggy bread topped with bacon & maple syrup, the bread however is brioche, basically cake for breakfast. Errybody should have cake for breakfast atleast once in their lives (but I’d say the more the better)!
The only thing they are missing on the menu is a good stack of cakes from the pan! Every brunch menu needs a tower of pancakes to vary up the choices of sweet treats!
Ahh! I almost forgot about the drinks! I went for the breakfast margarita! A classic margarita jazzed up with marmalade, lemon, orange & honey. So, so good! Sweet, tangy and a lil kick of alcohol but nothing to blow your head off, it is the mornin’ after all!
If you’re more of a fitness fanatic (like Chloe, who of course ran to the venue & still managed to look like a vision of beauty) they’ve got a small but we’ll thought through selection of juices.
Overall I enjoyed Tredwells, the food was absolutely A-MAZING, it was super easy to book a table and the prices were rather reasonable for the centre of tourists London and with a head chef of Wareing, mains range from £5 -£12.50 and brunch cocktails at £9 is hard to grumble at in London. Although the service was attentive to start it soon slowed once we ordered – even though it wasn’t exactly packed out.
